Your Milwaukee Landscape Headquarters!

Johnson's isn't just a nursery . . . we're a grower. We grow almost all of our own stock locally, which means it's hardy enough to withstand Wisconsin's weather. And it comes with a full 1-year guarantee. Our many sizes and unique varieties of woody plants gives us the largest selection in Wisconsin - with shade trees up to 25' tall, flowering trees, evergreens as well as shrubs, vines, perennials and groundcovers

Whether you do-it-yourself... or have us do -it-for-you, we're always eager to help. You're served by award-winning horticulturalists and landscape architects who will answer your questions on the phone or in person.

The We Plan – You Plant Program

Contact our experienced Landscape Architects and Designers to answer your plant questionsThis program is perfect for homeowners who are looking for great design ideas for smaller landscape projects. Want to give a facelift to your patio seating area, or add curb appeal to the front foundation? How about a cool woodland garden or a mixed shrub and perennial bed to add some interest to a corner of the yard? This program is designed for people who enjoy gardening, but can also be tailored for those who prefer to have Johnson’s Nursery install larger, heavier plants. Click on the image link below to download all of the information and materials you will need to get started on your project. After you have taken pictures, plotted your project location on graph paper (graph paper is included on the 5th page of the PDF linked below) and answered questions that help us determine your needs, bring all of your information to one of our retail sales staff to discuss your project. Then give us about 2 weeks to draw a design based on your specifications and then meet with us again to review your finished design. There is no charge for the designs produced through this program. After you have purchased the plants from us you will be given a copy of the design.

For large design projects, or those that require grading, hardscape, or on-site consultations, we reserve the right to refer your design work to our Landscape Design Department.
